Does the power of hope knock out reality or can the two co-exist?
Read MoreI’ve neglected this poor little blog and made lots of time to do other things, but now I must wipe off the virtual cobwebs and bring this little story platform back to life.

Following that are the ten days of reflection, seeking forgiveness, finding ways to get closer to God, culminating in Yom Kippur, when we fast, pray to be inscribed in the Book of Life, and rejoice in the sweetness of a new year.

Americans seem to think all things French are refined and sophisticated so the name has stuck!

Read MoreWe all enjoy life a little better if there’s time to pursue your passions. For me they’re simple: spending time with family and friends, being in the water and taking pictures. Without having specific photographic assignments, it’s been fun to capture landscapes and birds. But that’s a lonely pursuit and I’d rather do editorial work with people.
