Cancer free and revealing the new me!

Hi there!  It's been awhile since my last post and my apologies for not following up sooner.  Since late June I've had multiple tests to determine if the lymphoma was still in my bone marrow and in my lymph nodes.

I'm happy to report that the biopsy and scans are CLEAR!  However, my doctor still wanted me to do a few more rounds of chemo.  After that I rung the Survivor Bell!

Past, Present, Future

It's been about five months since my Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma diagnosis, which has changed my life and presented many challenges. As hard as it's been to cede control and hand your body and soul over to the doctor and nurses at City of Hope, it has also been affirming to have your husband and kids literally stop their lives to help you heal and give you support.

Last month I was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  It's settled in the lymph nodes under my arms, neck as well as my spleen and bone marrow.

Sounds scary, but the doctor at City of Hope doesn't seem intimidated by the diagnosis and has given me an 80% chance of a complete cure.   My husband and I feel very fortunate we were able to get admitted immediately..
